Project Overview
A commercial facility in Suriname sought to reduce its dependence on grid electricity and increase the use of renewable energy for daily operations. The project required a 100 kW grid-connected rooftop solar PV system paired with 50 kWh of battery storage, making use of the facility’s existing rooftop space for on-site energy generation.
SUNPAL ESS provided the complete technical solution, including system configuration, equipment selection, and implementation support. The system combines approximately 300 rooftop solar panels with a 50 kWh battery energy storage system, allowing the facility to store surplus solar power and increase on-site renewable energy utilization.
The project operates as a behind-the-meter solar-plus-storage system, with the generated electricity primarily serving the facility’s own load. By combining rooftop PV generation with battery storage, the system supports lower grid electricity consumption and greater energy independence for the facility.
